TCM for
Men's Health

The Kidneys govern the pre-natal essence or Jing(精) in the human body.

This pre-natal essence is what determines the quality of reproductive ability to carry on the family line.

The quality of the Kidney essence depends largely on the surplus Qi(气) which other organs produce.

TCM for Health and Wellness

TCM is based on theories about qi, a vital energy, which is said to flow along channels called meridians and help the body to maintain health. In acupuncture, needles puncture the skin to tap into any of the hundreds of points on the meridians where the flow of qi can be redirected to restore health.

TCM for Miscarriage Care

TCM believes two-pronged approach to restoring health and well-being after a miscarriage. Acupuncture points to help generate blood and qi usually address the spleen, stomach, and kidney meridians. To ease the emotional side of miscarriage usually involve the acupuncture point of heart, liver, and lung meridians to treat anxiety, depression, and grief.

TCM for pre-natal

TCM treatment performed during pregnancy helps in the prevention of: (a) Recurrent Miscarriages;
(b) Hyperemesis gravidarum;
(c) Induction of Labour;
(d) Moxibustion for Breech;
(e) Pain relief in labour.

TCM for post-natal

In Chinese culture, there is a systematic confinement plan for a month, which helps women to recover from childbirth. TCM also helps improve conditions such as post-partum abdominal pain, fever, lochiorrhea, abnormal sweating, paruria, body pain, constipation, hypogalactia, hypergalactia.

TCM and IUI/ IVF/ ICSI

In the recent years, there had been increasing scientific evidence to suggest that performing acupuncture during the time of In-vitro Fertilisation (IVF)/ Intra-cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)  Treatment increases the chance of pregnancy.

According to one of the study by researchers at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the US and the VU University Amsterdam, which involved a review of seven published trials. Women having acupuncture while undergoing IVF increase their chances of getting pregnant by 65 per cent.

A total of 1,366 women undergoing IVF were included in the trials, which compared acupuncture given within one day of embryo transfer, sham acupuncture where needles are inserted away from points used in genuine acupuncture, and no additional treatment.
